Mukasa Savior Paul | Hungerford Scholar
A local to Pallisa, Savior’s mother simply could not sustain his school fees. The Hungerford Scholarship changed that—giving him access to consistent meals, structured study time, and dedicated academic guidance that most students in Pallisa never have. With those barriers removed, he applied himself fully and rose to rank among the top three students in the school on Uganda’s national UCE examinations.
Musibikha Winnie | Hungerford Scholar
Winnie entered JPSS with a Division 3 primary score—the very bottom of the qualifying range. Her headteacher saw potential and recommended her for a Hungerford Scholarship. Boarding school gave her stability, tutoring, and a community of scholars. She graduated with a Division 1 on Uganda’s national UCE exams (the highest possible result) and is now earning a Bachelor of Education in Agriculture at University.
Gidudu David | Government Scholar
David sat his 2024 A-level exams alongside 141,000 students across Uganda—and scored 19 out of a possible 20 points in the Sciences. His achievement was recognized nationally; his photo appeared on the front page of the Daily Monitor. He earned a competitive government scholarship to study Medicine and Surgery at Makerere University.
