2025 FOJPS Virtual 5K Results
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in or donated to our fifth annual virtual 5K supporting our beloved teachers at John Paul Secondary School in Uganda! Our 10th Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser!
The 10th Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser, benefitting the students at John Paul Secondary School, was held on October 3rd, 2024, at the chic Silver Spoon Ristorante. Again, this year, a nearly sold-out crowd attended. In addition to our many loyal returning guests, we were extremely happy to welcome 12 new first-time guests as well as guests from 8 different states! Once again, Rito Lisi and his staff at the Silver Spoon Ristorante provided five delicious small plates which were accompanied by five outstanding wines from Spain! Thank you so much to everyone who participated in or donated to our fourth annual virtual 5K – benefiting the students and teachers at John Paul Secondary School in Uganda! A Fun Evening and Successful Fundraiser!
The 9th Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser, benefitting the students at John Paul Secondary School, held October 5th at the chic Silver Spoon Ristorante was attended again this year by a SOLD-OUT crowd! In addition to our many loyal returning guests, we were pleased to welcome 25 new guests for the first time! This year’s event was also very profitable, raising an amazing $34,500! Once again, the Silver Spoon provided five delicious small plates which were accompanied by five outstanding wines. What is Giving Tuesday? Giving Tuesday is a global initiative that encourages people and organizations to donate their time and money to charitable causes on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the United States. It was created in 2012 and has grown every year. Once again this year, Friends of John Paul School will be reaching out to all of our wonderful donors on Giving Tuesday. Our campus is bursting at the seams and your donations so gratefully be used to provide the basics for all of our current and new students including an additional water source, more classroom space, required curriculum changes and many more things. Once again, we will be holding our annual Charity Wine Tasting at the chic Silver Spoon Ristorante in Rochester, Michigan. For your enjoyment, five premier wines will be paired with a like number of gourmet tastings. Register for individual tickets or purchase a table and invite your friends. 2023 FOJPS 5K Results and Winners
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in or donated to our third annual virtual 5K – benefiting the students and teachers at John Paul Secondary School in Uganda! The 5K week was a huge success: we had 265 participants from all around the world and we received tons of great photos of people walking, running, rolling for the kids. With the $50 per participant pledge, that works out to $13,250 in pledged amount. Combined with tickets and donations, YOU raised over $43,850 for JPSS! We are thrilled with the results! Wine Tasting 2022 – SOLD OUT!
The 8th Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser, benefiting the students at John Paul Secondary School, held October 6th at the chic Silver Spoon Ristorante was attended by a SOLD-OUT crowd!! In addition to our many loyal returning guests, we had 35 guests attending for the first time!! This year’s event was also our most profitable, raising an amazing $35,000! The Silver Spoon provided five delicious small plates which were accompanied by five outstanding wines.
