Friends of John Paul School holds three major fundraising events each year . . . the Virtual 5K, our Wine Tasting Event, and Giving Tuesday.
Our Wine Tasting presents a great opportunity to meet Founders Nancy and Paul Berrigan, the Friends of John Paul School Board of Directors and fellow benefactors – while enjoying outstanding wine and food. Information on this year’s event is posted on the website.
The Annual Virtual 5K is a 5K race in which the students and the fundraisers both participate. The fundraiser is not a singular race, but instead is a campaign where people pledge donations to people who run/walk/bike 5 kilometers.
This is a great way to get people from all over the nation (and world) involved in something physical and fun for JPSS! It takes place in late May/early June, and we’d love it if you could participate!
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations, through the generosity of people worldwide, to transform not only their local charities and communities but also the world.
On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving . . . a day of gratitude celebrated in the United States and Canada . . . GivingTuesday becomes a day that encourages people to do good.
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 and John Paul Secondary School has launched a campaign on the Giving Tuesday website since 2016. Each Board member sets up a team and reaches out to their communities for support.
Funds received during Giving Tuesday have helped build most of the buildings on the John Paul Secondary School campus.
