We proudly affirm that utilization of all your donations is tightly controlled, student-focused and handled by a 100% volunteer Board of Directors. The nine Board Members of Friends of John Paul School, which include Founders Nancy and Paul Berrigan, do not get paid. No headquarters. No staff.

Each capital expenditure, based on a 5-year development plan, is presented in a proposal with defined costs, and is reviewed and approved by the Board. Ongoing administrative expenses include a modest amount for technology that covers database management and website maintenance. No money is spent on paid advertising, off-site meetings or overseas shipping.

Because of the diligence and the continuing generosity of so many Friends, we can state proudly that 97% of donated funds go directly to campus development and maintenance, teacher salaries, curriculum expansion, books and care for our students. The typical charity spends 75% of its budget on programs according to Charity Navigator.
