Like All Scholars – They’re Competitive!
Hungerford Scholars: Desire. Determination. Hope. Generosity.
Chelekura, Uganda is a village of abject poverty and subsistence farming. Now,up to 10 students in the village of Chelekura each year may earn full tuition and boarding to attend JPSS. There are currently 63 Hungerford Scholars – represented in all S1-S6 classes.
Teachers: Degreed. Dedicated. Disciplined.
These are just two of the dedicated teachers at JPSS. Many live in Teacher Housing – these teachers bike more than five miles to work each day.
The school administrator and Headmaster have strict standards for teachers. Besides being degreed, they must be good mentors, dedicated to the school, good at building team spirit, self-driven and disciplined.
And . . . most importantly, they truly care for their students.
