Distribution Day!
You, our amazing donors, responded to our call to be able to bring supplies and gear for each of our students, teachers and staff (over 700 people!). Charity wish list orders of sports bras, socks, and drawstring bags poured into Paul and Nancy’s house, and gently used ties were donated by, in some cases, the hundreds! All were carefully packed into 16 large duffle bags that were divided up between the board members traveling to Uganda. For your enjoyment, five premier wines will be paired with a like number of gourmet tastings. Register for individual tickets or purchase a table and invite your friends. 2023 FOJPS 5K Results and Winners
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in or donated to our third annual virtual 5K – benefiting the students and teachers at John Paul Secondary School in Uganda! The 5K week was a huge success: we had 265 participants from all around the world and we received tons of great photos of people walking, running, rolling for the kids. With the $50 per participant pledge, that works out to $13,250 in pledged amount. Combined with tickets and donations, YOU raised over $43,850 for JPSS! We are thrilled with the results! Help Us Bring ESSENTIALS to Our Students in Uganda
In July 2023, we’ll be returning to the JPSS campus and hope to bring the following items for our 600+ students: Sports bras – all sizes (white and light gray colors please) White knee-high socks, brown men’s dress socks String backpacks Toothbrushes Full-sized toothpaste tubes Shop our Walmart Charity Registry for everything we need to bring and have it shipped directly to us. 2022 FOJPS 5K Results and Winners
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in or donated to our second annual virtual 5K – benefiting the students and teachers at John Paul Secondary School in Uganda! The 5K week was a huge success: we had 185 participants from all around the world, we received tons of great photos of people walking, running, rolling for the kids and we earned over $22,250 which will go toward construction of a much needed multi-purpose building and kitchen. Virtual 5K Year 2 – Let’s Go!
Please join us for our second annual Friends of John Paul School Virtual 5K to support the kids in Uganda at John Paul Secondary School. Again this year, our students and teachers in Uganda will be joining us for the Virtual 5K! Virtual means that you commit to walking, running, cycling, etc. for 3.1 miles some time during the week of June 4th through June 10th. You can pick your path, timing and people you want to do it with. A Wonderful Evening, A Wonderful Cause
A BIG “Thank You” to everyone who attended our 7th Annual “Friends of John Paul School” Wine Tasting Fundraiser. We had our largest group attending this year and a fun time was had by all! A special “Thank You” to Rito Lisi of the Silver Spoon Ristorante in Rochester, Michigan. This wonderful evening could not have taken place without his continued commitment to JPSS and its students.
