Our Largest Graduating Class Ever!
72 students completed A-level examinations at John Paul Secondary School in 2025
Each year, when the Uganda National Examinations Board releases A-level results, we find ourselves reflecting on how far John Paul Secondary School has come. This year, that reflection carries special weight.
In November of 2025, 72 young men and women sat their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations at JPSS — the largest A-level class in the school’s history. That number tells a meaningful story about what this school has become and what your support has helped build.
What This Class Accomplished:

More than half of the entire class — 52 students — earned the qualifications needed to pursue a university education. Another 13 qualified for diploma and vocational programs. All 72 students walked away with a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education, a credential that opens doors throughout East Africa.
Just a few years ago, John Paul Secondary School began with 14 students learning under a shade tree. Today, a class of 72 is completing one of the most rigorous academic programs in the Ugandan system. That is not a small thing.
Access and Growth Go Together
One of the most important commitments JPSS has made is to serve students from across the Pallisa District — including students who might not have had access to A-level education at all without this school. That commitment shows in the size of this class. Expanding access means welcoming students with a wide range of academic backgrounds and preparation. As the school grows and serves more of its community, that diversity is something to be celebrated.

A Student to Celebrate
Among the Class of 2025, Wasibi Shedrack earned the highest point total in his class, studying Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. His results open doors to university study in medicine, biochemistry, agriculture, and other fields where trained professionals are urgently needed across Uganda.
His story is one of 72. Each student who sat those exams carried with them years of work, the hopes of their families, and the investment of teachers and supporters who believed in what this school could be.
Your support made this possible. Every gift contributes to the classrooms, the teachers, and the opportunities that change the trajectory of a life.
Looking Ahead
Behind every one of those 52 university-eligible students is a family hoping to find a way to make it happen. The JPSS Graduate Scholarship Program exists to bridge that gap. Learn how you can help.
At the school, 2026 brings a new cohort of students, continued growth in the O-level program, and ongoing work on the campus master plan. The foundation is strong. The mission is clear. And none of it happens without you.
Thank you for standing with the students of John Paul Secondary School.
