Update on Campus Development
With the end of the year fast approaching we are still on track to successfully complete our very aggressive development plans. Our #1 priority for 2024 was to build an 8-classroom primary school on newly acquired property across the road from the JPSS campus. That has been completed and the 1000 + Adodoi School primary students will begin the 2025 school year in these new facilities.
As soon as the primary school year ends, in early December 2024, we will rehab the existing primary school classrooms on our campus and convert them for our JPSS students.
Our second priority was to provide additional housing for our ever-increasing student body, now approaching 700. To meet this demand, we built two 100-bed dormitories (one for boys and one for girls). These will house the older S-5 & S-6 students, those preparing to graduate and go on to university or the business world.
These two facilities will be the first at the school furnished with toilets. No more latrines!
Our final and largest project for 2024 is the FIFA approved Soccer Field with all the attendant support facilities. After many false starts where we thought we had valid agreements to purchase the large parcels of land required for this project we were finally able to complete a purchase giving us more than enough property to complete this project. It will be a bit late but we expect the Soccer Field to be in use early in the 2025 school year. The students can’t wait!
