Visitation Day March 2022

Welcome to Visitation Day at John Paul Secondary School!  What a joyful day for the students….  this is the day they get to celebrate with a visit from their parents.  Parents who are able, come from far and wide to participate in this important day, conducted once per each of the 3 terms in the school year.

Visitation day serves multiple purposes. First, it offers the opportunity for the teachers to interact with the parents to evaluate student academic performance and discuss behavior and student acclimation to school.  As you can image, that’s especially important this year after an almost 2-year hiatus.

Student performance and expectations are reviewed together with the JPSS teachers

Secondly, Visitation Day allows the parents an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the campus and their child’s living arrangements.  Per Fr. John Chrysostom Oduc, Director of John Paul Secondary School, “the parents were amazed at the infrastructural developments in the school. They send their gratitude to all of you.”

Finally, Visitation Day provides the opportunity to discuss the strategic vision and direction of the school.  Per Fr. John regarding the parents, “They are stakeholders and need to be in the know. It was a very productive dialogue.”

A new concept in the future at JPSS…… “Class Days”.  These days would welcome parents of students in a particular class/grade to come to the campus to learn more about their students’ classes and enjoy meeting with other parents.
